PRODUCTS
As the name suggests, these glassware styles originate from different regions, and the cutting techniques also vary.
Tenma Kiriko is crafted using a U-shaped cut known as Kamaboko-bori, while Edo Kiriko primarily features V-shaped cuts for its patterns. Satsuma Kiriko, on the other hand, is characterized by its deep cuts into thick glass, creating a distinctive gradient (bokashi) effect.
Additionally, the unique feature of Tenma Kiriko is the way its patterns appear like a kaleidoscope when liquid is poured into the glass—something not found in other Kiriko styles.
No, our glasses are not tempered or heat-resistant glass, so please do not use dishwasher, microwave, or any other electronic devices.
We also recomment avoiding any situation where sudden temperature changes occur as it might break the glass.
Have enough space around them so that the glasses do not touch any other hard objects. Please do not stack them.
To clean Temma Kiriko glasses after use, please do not use dishwasher and wash gently by hands. Some tips to follow are:
- Apply a mild detergent to a soft sponge and wash gently by hand
- Avoid using hard brushes or abrasive sponges, metal scrubbers, or cleansers with abrasive compound
- Do not twist-wash when washing the inside of the glass, as it may cause breakage. Instead, use a sponge with a handle
- Wipe off and dry well after washing, as leftover moisture can leave water stains that are difficult to remove
Our glasses are not tempered glass and it may break if dropped or subjected to strong impact.
They are not heat-resistant glass either. Pouring hot beverages into a glass that is cold may cause it to break, so please avoid doing so. Temma Kiriko products are not made of heat-resistant glass and may crack due to sudden temperature changes.
In general, please handle them carefully!
